Arfluencer Magazine launches African Influencer awards

The Afrluencer Magazine has announced it will be launching its African Influencer Awards 2021 in October.

“This event (African Influencer Awards) is the first of its kind in the country and the organisers of the function have set it up to be held annually. The team is taking a more comprehensive look at recognising excellence within various local industries,” said Founder and Editor In Chief of Afrluencer Magazine Nicolette Mdhluli.

The awards to be held on October 29, will run under the theme, Africa, Young, Bold and Talented

The event will honour entrepreneurs, influencers and business people.

“We are honouring them for the work they do. Despite the pandemic and all the losses and challenges most of us have faced throughout 2021, there have been people that have continued, relentlessly, to adjust and remodel their service, personal and product brands to continue serving the market.”

Mdhluli said they have chosen ten categories for the 2021 session, with creators who showed excellence, commitment and passion for the work they do.

“We have over forty nominations locally and in the diaspora. The public is encouraged to vote on the Afrluencer website here  https://afrluencer.com/african-influencer-nominees-list/,” she said.

CITE’s Alpha Female Lounge show has been nominated for the Best Online Talk Show award while the former Queening With The Empress host Patience Pat Phiri is up for the Best Feature Article Writer award.
