Source: A picture showing President Emmerson Mnangagwa and the First Lady Auxillia Mnanagwa and Vice President Kembo Mohadi leading a National Day of Prayer on October 21, 2019, went viral with social media users claiming it was taken during the National Day of Prayer and Fasting held on June 15, 2020, at the State House. 

The social media users claimed the presidium had defied the social distancing regulations and not wearing face masks to prevent the spread of COVID-19.

The original picture appeared in the 22 October, 2019 edition of The Herald Newspaper.

Background: President Mnangagwa called for the National Day of Prayer and Fasting in the wake of the COVID-19 pandemic. 

As of June 15, the country had 387 confirmed cases, 54 recoveries and 4 deaths.
