15 pointer seeks university fees assistance

A Bulawayo student who excelled in her Advanced Level examinations, achieving an outstanding 15 points, is seeking financial support to pursue further studies in Accounting.

Nontobeko Dube, 19, a former student at Townsend High School, earned 3 As in Accounting, Business Studies, and Economics.

Expressing her aspirations, Dube said, “I wish to study accounting to become a chartered accountant. I am seeking assistance to further my studies, and I would prefer to study abroad, though I am open to enrolling at any local university.”

In an interview with CITE, Dube shared that she resides with her grandmother in Nkulumane and is currently facing financial challenges.

She has two siblings, a brother and a sister, who are unable to provide support. Her father, residing in Matobo, is retired.

“My sister and father were covering my tuition fees, but now it has become difficult for my sister to continue paying fees as she has children to support, and my father is no longer working,” explained Dube.
